DMrocket in motion

DMrocket, my first client from Singapore.
A Direct Marketing division of Singapore Post.
Voted Top Ten DM Agencies of the Year 2007.
They are making my logo design into motion.
Not extremely good (maybe because my design is not good enough...) but it's interesting to see how others manipulate it.

A Few Good Creative Men

"We write ads or people die!"
"You can't handle a bigger logo!"

Redesigning the STOP sign

My dearest clients, have you ever said one of the following phrases?

"...so we're gonna have to light it up on the 'pantone' scale..."
......

"it is great! can we try a new line? i showed it to my daughter but she didn't really get it."
......

"yes, circles feel very 90s to me. can we try different shapes too?"
......

And will you laugh when you watch the following video?

Helfreatika

I think I am a Helvetica freak.
I think most of the designers are.
There was once a client telling me to use Arial instead of Helvetica.
I kept using Helvetica and told them that it was a modified version of Arial.
They said it was BEAUTIFUL and they loved it...

My friend, Tree, told me that there was a film about Helvetica. And my another friend, BFSH, bought me the dvd, "Helvetica -- A documentary film by Gary Hustwit".
I strongly recommend it.
Thanks T and B!

It all started with Paul Rand

Paul Rand.
The very first graphic designer that i heard of.
I fell in love with his design right after I saw his works.
I was so lucky that I had a chance to see his works in real in an exhibition when I was in NYC, US.

here is a film of Paul Rand's works done by Imaginary Forces:
